north of the trans canada

This piece resulted in studying the colours from one perspective out a window, in the same location for a full year. It is a grouping of dyed quilt blocks. The colours were selected from the colour swatches I had gathered with coloured ink, several times each month. The piece reflects the warmth that can be found in a landscape that is often perceived as very cold. I Intend for the viewer to find comfort and a feeling of calm in this work.
